OMENBOUND
Omenbound is an original story created by Damaris “Malachi” Franks II. Featuring a fictional universe with characters and concepts such as Qhimba the Dragon Mother, Jet Yeong the Tiger-fueled martial artist, Ashelin Robinhardt the conflicted super-soldier, and many more. I’ve cultivated these ideas for years now, so follow me as the story develops to a published novel in due time.
PLOT & STORY
Omenbound takes place on Earth, the Human world intertwined with the Hinter Realm – a dimension of supernatural beings known as Zoans who are both divine and wicked in nature that most humans know as monsters, angels, or demons. The planet and mankind are defended from malevolent beings from the realm by Zoanthropes, Human and Zoan mutant hybrids with bestial powers. For thousands of years Omens – leaders and the strongest of the Zoanthropes – have worked in tandem, wielding arcane armaments and spiritual training to achieve these goals as the collective known as the Omen Order. With Zoanthropes diminishing in number through the line of duty, the advanced but xenophobic United Republic of Arcadia have manufactured super-soldiers called Legionnaires as modern means of combating otherworldly threats. Equipped with hi-tech weaponry, in contrast to the Omen Order, Legionnaires are perceived to be the next step in human evolution. Though diverging significantly on most matters, Zoanthropes and Legionnaires are determined to safeguard the world from evil, whether it be malicious Zoans or fanatical cults on Earth erected in their name, however it is just a matter of time before they collide with their irreconcilable differences.
ZOANTHROPES
Zoanthropes are humans genetically enhanced with unique powers that belong to their respective kind or clans inspired by the Chinese Zodiac.There are the tribe of the Bat, Behemoth, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Horse, Capra, Monkey, Griffin, Wolf, Boar, and Turtle.The Zoanthropes are divided into thirteen tribes, though many have perished in the line of duty protecting Earth and mankind from supernatural Zoan threats. Zoanthropes are naturally stronger than their human counterparts and some are stronger than Zoans as well with their abilities only being restricted by their physical and spiritual fortitude. Without proper training, Zoanthropes are prone to enter an animalistic rage or go berserk.
LEGIONNAIRES
Sanctioned by the Nations of Eden to defend the United Republic of Arcadia and its brotherly nations, the Legionnaires are a collective of soldiers granted supernatural abilities thanks to the highly experimental Legionnaire Systems developed by the Anselm Corporation. There are different levels of Legionnaires with various powers; the Beta Legionnaires being the lowest but most common, Alpha Legionnaires being modest in both numbers and capabilities as they lead Beta and common soldiers, and the Omega Legionnaires who are exponentially rare as they are tasked with guarding the President of Arcadia.
